Necessarie poche firme per ottenere un importante risultato.

Inizia lunedì 6 settembre a Strasburgo l’ultima sessione plenaria utile per la sottoscrizione della Dichiarazione Scritta 12/2010. Nonostante la trasversalità dei proponenti non si è riusciti ad ottenere nei tre mesi previsti le firme necessarie (369 e cioè la maggioranza dei parlamentari). Il Presidente del Parlamento Europeo ha concesso una proroga in virtù dell’alto numero di sostegni raccolti. Scadono quindi perentoriamente il giorno 9 settembre i termini per la sottoscrizione e siamo ad un passo dall’ottenere il risultato: mancano solo 16 firme.

Abbiamo già scritto molto su ACTA e sull’obiettivo della Dichiarazione Scritta presentata da autorevoli esponenti dei tre maggiori gruppi politici del Parlamento (PPE, S&D e ALDE), per cui non ripeterò quanto già potete trovare in molti altri post di questo blog; vi lascio solo la lista dei deputati che ancora non hanno sottoscritto e mi affido all’attivismo di chi ci legge per scrivere ai nostri rappresentanti e soprattutto per poi telefonar loro al fine di segnalare l’invio della mail e sollecitarne l’attenzione.

Gli eurodeputati credo siano ormai tutti a conoscenza del contenuto della Dichiarazione Scritta: basteranno quindi poche semplici parole, tipo quelle che seguono (anche se è meglio personalizzare per evitare che appaia una cosa scritta dalla stessa persona da diversi account mail), per segnalare la vostra preoccupazione del fatto che non si riesca per pochissime firme a raggiungere il quorum.

Egregio On. [Nome e Cognome], come ben saprà con la conclusione della prossima sessione plenaria scadranno perentoriamente i termini, già prorogati per l’alto numero di firmatari, per la sottoscrizione della Dichiarazione Scritta 12/2010.

Mi permetto quindi di invitarLa a considerare la sottoscrizione. Sono certo che Lei già ben conosce il contenuto per cui auspico voglia appoggiare questa iniziativa per far si che la lotta alla contraffazione dei marchi e delle opere protette dal diritto d’autore non sia ampliata a ciò che non ha attinenza con questo tema, per evitare che un trattato commerciale possa andare a minare i diritti civili dei cittadini ed intaccare la neutralità della Rete e la non responsabilità degli operatori che forniscono connessione e servizi.

Mancano solo 16 firme per raggiungere il quorum necessario, ma la mia preoccupazione che si possa mancare l’obbiettivo per pochissimo è elevata; sia Lei determinante per il successo di questo documento!
